Ive used it many times and its accurate to within three degrees. Sounds like the guy above me didnt know how to use it.

Lock the screen orientation. It helps to lay iPad on a flat surface and then it is fairly accurate. I would not want to circumnavigate the earth with this app but it is Interesting. With an update it could prove fairly useful. Of course it will not be accurate if iPad held vertically as it would point in any direction.
This looks pretty, and it works fine (at least, after I took my iPad out of its case, which has a magnetic clasp that confuses the magnetometer), but the background image doesnt rotate! So the needle points north in one (correct) direction, but the background says north is in a different direction!
the compass looks nice, but thats about it. the north on it can be anywhere between east and north, thats a 45 degrees margin of error!
I like the style of the compass
Use it for all my travel..very happy with this app..nice Job! Dunno what could be tweaked at this time..so far so good.
Excellent compass and I really enjoy and use every day, the map of the world that shows so much close up terrestrial detail when zooming in on the daily hot spots around the world !!
Does what it is supposed to do. Works easilly
I must say, I enjoy this app. I have used it on several occasions and Im pleased so far.
Easy to use, and elegant design. Matches my ship.
I turned it on and a pop up ad comes up. Delete
Love the app
Not bad but make it flip with the device...
Thanks
Its not accurate, the app developers need to test the program rigorously before releasing it. It could be a good program some day, I can just wish good luck for them.
Free version does NOT work,
Does whats supposed to do in a beautiful and straightforward way. The graphic interphase is impeccable! Great Job!! The compass I use the most!
Great app. Use it all the time.
Sorry I would love to say this compass worked but it does not. I used on my iPad. We tried holding it flat and straight up and down. As I watched the sun set exactly on the horizon of the west this compass insisted we were facing SE. We calibrated 6 times getting a different direction every time. I would not go off into the woods or out in my boat with this compass.
The title says it all. Its less accurate now and the needle constantly twitches by a few degrees. Aesthetics are one thing, but the purpose of a compass app is to be a compass, not an ad platform. The proper model is to have the free app maybe show an ad on startup but no constant nagging. That just gives the product a bad name. The customer can then buy upgrades if they want them.
